PARK HOUSE

Nestled in the charming seaside suburb of Woonona, Wollongong , traditional lands of the Dharawal people, this project showcases our commitment to creating thoughtful, functional, and timeless spaces. The original structure—a quaint miners’ cottage—held historical charm but lacked the space and amenities to support a growing family. Our renovation and addition transformed this property into a modern haven while preserving its rich heritage.

The design process began by honoring the cottage’s original features, ensuring its character was retained. We restored the façade to celebrate its historic charm, while the addition at the rear introduced contemporary lines and an open-plan layout, maximizing natural light and ventilation. This harmonious blend of old and new allowed the home to retain its identity while meeting the demands of modern living.

The renovation incorporated sustainable materials and practices, enhancing energy efficiency without compromising aesthetics. The new design includes a spacious family living area that flows seamlessly into a custom-designed kitchen and dining space. Floor-to-ceiling windows frame escarpment views, creating a serene connection to Woonona’s coastal environment.

By reimagining the interior layout, we introduced additional bedrooms and bathrooms, ensuring comfort for every family member. Thoughtful storage solutions were integrated throughout, and outdoor spaces were landscaped to complement the home’s functionality and visual appeal.
