Bliss Icecream & Gelato

EMVY Design was appointed to develop a comprehensive branding package and interior shop design for a new Gelato Bar, positioned along the award-winning Waterfront Town Centre at Shellcove Marina. The goal was to create a brand identity and interior aesthetic that would stand out from traditional gelato stores while seamlessly integrating into its nautical surroundings. The challenge was to craft a design that felt unique, modern, and engaging, yet flexible enough to translate across both graphic and interior mediums.

Instead of the typical pastel hues often associated with gelato, the design featured a sophisticated, dark, and tactile backdrop that allowed the vibrant colours of the gelato to take centre stage. This contrast not only highlighted the product but also created an elegant and immersive atmosphere for customers. Durable and functional materials, such as stone countertops and large-format porcelain floor tiles, were selected to ensure longevity while maintaining a refined aesthetic.

To infuse the space with playfulness and energy, a lollipop-inspired feature colour was introduced through custom bench seating and accent lighting, enhancing the joyful nature of the gelato experience. A standout element of the design was the custom lighting installation, designed by EMVY, which floated elegantly over the gelato display, ensuring the product remained the focal point. Complementing this was a stylish, eye-catching coffee machine that added an extra layer of vibrancy to the space.

The project was completed efficiently, with the design phase taking six weeks and construction wrapping up in just four weeks. EMVY Design worked in collaboration with Frasers Property Australia.a to bring this vision to life, delivering a beautifully curated gelato destination that blends sophistication with a sense of fun.
